I'll try to give you the most important rules for both indoor and outdoor volleyball, and the main ones that are usually the same. These are going to be specifically USA volleyball rules and who you're playing for may have slightly different rules.
Beach Volleyball Rules:

May be played on sand or grass
- The court size can 18m by 9m or 16m by 8m
- At least 3m free zone around the whole court
- Net should be at least 9.5m long and 1m wide
- Height of net for women ranges from 2m to 2.24m
- Height of net for men ranges from 2m to 2.43m
- Can be played with 2,3,4 or 6 players
- May wear jewelry, hats, sunglasses, etc
Indoor Volleyball Rules:
- Played on a flat, horizontal surface
- The court size is 18m by 9m
- At least 2m free zone around the whole court
- Net should be at least 9.5m long and 1m wide
- Height of net for women ranges from 1.98m to 2.24m
- Height of net for men ranges from 2.13m to 2.43m
- Played with 6 players
- Jewelry and hats are forbidden unless religious purposes
