Rainbow Wahine Volleyball news; Team Opens Practice Aug. 13

The No. 13 University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team will hold its first practice of the 2004 season Friday, Aug. 13, at 9 a.m., in Gym 1. The morning practice, which is scheduled to end at noon, will start UH's nine-day schedule of two-a-day practices, with afternoon practices running from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Season tickets are currently on sale. Ticket prices in the upper level are $115 for adults, $100 for seniors and $70 for students. Tickets are available online at HawaiiAthletics.com, by phone at (808) 944-2697 or at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office. Lower-level seats are only available with `Ahahui Koa Anuenue membership for the general public and Super Rooter or Manoa Maniac memberships for UH students.

Single-match tickets will be available for purchase on Aug. 23. Tickets will be $14-16 for general lower level seats, in the upper level, $11-13 for adults, $8-9 for senior citizens and $6 for students. Ticket prices are determined by a two-tier pricing guide based on the opponent. Individual tickets will be available at the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, the UH Campus Center, Rainbowtique Ward Center, the Aloha Stadium Box Office or OCET at Windward Community College, online at HawaiiAthletics.com or by phone at (808) 944-2697.

The Rainbow Wahine open the 2004 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 2, against Eastern Washington at approximately 7 p.m. in the 17th Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center. The match will be preceded by the classic opener between San Diego and Arizona, starting at 5 p.m with Wahine volleyball news to follow.
