Wabash Valley volleyball teams face uphill battle in regionals (Terre Haute Tribune Star)
Hoping to prove that rankings mean nothing, three Wabash Valley high school volleyball teams enter regional play Saturday. And perhaps the other two teams and their coaches need to heed Coach Tammy Meurer of Union, who knows for a fact that rankings are meaningless.

Jessica Furlong Named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week (Wake Forest Sports)
GREENSBORO, N.C. - - Wake Forest's Jessica Furlong was named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, having led the Demon Deacons to wins over Clemson and Georgia Tech this past weekend. She is the first Demon Deacon to earn the honor since 2003.

Ex-UH player to be named men's volleyball assistant (Honolulu Advertiser)
Former University of Hawai'i volleyball player Jason Salmeri will be named the men team's new assistant coach. Salmeri, who has been serving as a volunteer assistant coach during fall training, will replace UH men's volleyball consultant Carl McGown.

Prempeh Volleyball team wins gala (Ghanaweb.com)
Kumasi, Oct 31, GNA - Prempeh Volleyball Team of the Ashanti Regional Sports Council beat the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) volleyball team 2-1 to emerge winners of a one day gala competition organized by the Ashanti Region Volleyball Association in Kumasi at the weekend.
