US volleyballers post fourth win over Japan (AFP via Yahoo! News)
The US men's volleyball team continued their dominance of Japan with a 3-1 victory in their FIVB World League pool match here on Sunday.
IDC, FU sign up for 7th Lopue's volleyfest (Sun Star)
COMPETITION in both the men's Class A and women's Class A divisions of the 7th Lopue's Cup-University of St. La Salle-Negros Occidental Volleyball Association (Nova) are expected to be stiff with the confirmed entry of two out-of-town teams.

East High School camp On Aug. 7, there will be a East High School volleyball parents meeting from 5:30-6 p.m. at Mel Spence Gym. At 6 p.m., the open camp will begin. All girls who plan to play volleyball at East are encouraged to attend. The camp will run from Aug. 7-9 from 6-8 p.m. each day. For more information, contact coach Garcia at 544-5339.

Following a winless 2005 district campaign, the Lady Cats varsity volleyball squad will have its third different head coach in three years this fall. Josh Tabor, 27, has been hired to take over the reigns of the program.
China's Sichuan crowned at int'l volleyball tournament in Vietnam (People's Daily)
China's Sichuan club defeated Vietnam 3-2 for the top honor, while their compatriot Nankai crushed Thailand 3-0 to finish third at the third International Women's Volleyball Tournament, VTV Cup 2006, which concluded in Vietnam Sunday.
Dates set for AHS softball, volleyball camps (Athens Review Online)
Dates for the annual Athens High School softball and volleyball camps have been set. First-year Lady Hornet softball coach Gary Qualls will conduct two camps. The first, for girls entering grades 4-6 is scheduled July 24-25. The second, for girls entering grades 7-9, is set July 26-27.

The Washington High School volleyball team will hold a feeder-school clinic for students in grades 4-8 on August 5. The clinic run from 10 am-1 p.m. in the main gym. All coaches are invited to attend the free clinic. For information call the Washington Athletic office at 283-7207.
LBCC hosts volleyball camp (Lebanon Express)
A volleyball camp for girls in grades 5-8 will be held at Linn-Benton Community College on August 1-3. The camp will provide three days of instruction on all aspects of the game, including serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking and defense. Each day will consist of a three-hour session.
