St. Mary's CYO Wins Three Girls Volleyball Sportsmanship Awards (Manhasset Press)
The Nassau Suffolk CYO has announced the winners of the Girls Volleyball 2006 Sportsmanship Awards. St. Mary's CYO has won three of these prestigious awards; one for the seventh grade and one for the ninth and 10th grade TYRO and the 11th and 12th grade senior divisions.

Central workouts All girls who will be attending Central High School in the fall and are interested in playing volleyball are encouraged to attend open gym practices. Practices begin today and will be held every Thursday and Saturday in Central's gym. times are 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 8:30-11 a.m. on Saturdays. Beach volleyball league set to go (Whistler Question)
More than 100 people signed up to play Mondays at Rainbow Park kthompson@whistlerquestion.com The beach scene is increasing its presence in Whistler thanks to the Whistler Outdoor Volleyball Association (WOVA), the community's first organized outdoor volleyball league.

MCC names new volleyball coach (McCook Daily Gazette)
McCook Community College has tabbed a Colorado man to lead the school's volleyball program. Gary Payne will take over the program when the season starts this August.

VHS hosts summer volleyball camp (Glacier Reporter)
Summer is now in full swing, and kids are busy with swimming, soccer, softball and various other sports. Girls from around the state have been invited to participate in the VHS volleyball camp this weekend, which begins on Sunday, June 11 and will continue through Monday and Tuesday.

Council honors volleyball, basketball teams (Sun Star)
ACKNOWLEDGING the honors the city women's volleyball and men's basketball teams brought to the city, the Dumaguete City Council recently commended the players, their coaches, and coaching staff for again capturing the 2006 Governor's Cup Basketball and Volleyball championship that ended on May 15.
