Hebert named to volleyball Hall (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)
Gophers volleyball coach Mike Hebert has been named to the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Hall of Fame. Hebert will be inducted Dec. 13 in Omaha during the AVCA's annual convention. Hebert has compiled an 837-351 career record in his 31st season as a Division I coach. He has led his teams to the NCAA semifinals four times. Minn.-Duluth sweeps Augustana in volleyball (Argus Leader)
Minnesota-Duluth, ranked sixth in NCAA Division II volleyball, swept Augustana 30-22, 30-26, 30-17 in a North Central Conference match Friday at the Elmen Center. Both teams entered the match unbeaten in NCC play. Vicky Braegelmann had 20 kills and hit .562 for UMD (18-2, 5-0 NCC), which outhit the Vikings .349-.184. For Augustana (9-8, 3-1), Andrea Oswald and Ellen Andrews each had nine kills.
