Volleyball star to attend camp: SoHi coach King praises Pavan
In his 15 years hosting the All American Volleyball Camp in Soldotna, Bruce King has seen numerous top-level collegiate players serve as coaches. But perhaps none compare to one of this year's coaches -- Sarah Pavan.

Just like the minor earthquakes we've been having with frequency here in So Cal, the newest partner swaps will make a few waves, but will not exactly shake the AVP off it's foundation. They will, however, provide for some new and possibly interesting match-ups and give us some fresh chemistry to keep an eye on for the future.

A 13 Seed Gets It's Day

For those of you who grow weary of the same old faces in the AVP final week after week, there was some new blood on the stadium court this week in Hermosa Beach. Number 13 seed Matt Prosser and John Mayer made the final after taking out No. 10 seed Nygaard/Olson and No. 2 seed Hyden/Scott. Prosser and Mayer are the lowest seeded team to make a final this season.

A Record Five Straight for Todd and Phil

Is there any beating Todd and Phil? With this week's win, the pair won it's fifth straight Hermosa Beach event. The win is their 54th as a team which moves them into third place all-time, surpassing legends Hovland and Dodd. The only two teams ahead of them now are Smith/Stoklos and Kiraly/Steffes.

Misty Makes the List
