Must-Win for USA Men Reid Priddy and Clay Stanley have been back in the line-up for the last two weeks, but the USA men's team lost setter Donald Suxho to injury last week in the first match against Egypt. Kevin Hansen has been the starting setter ever since, pulling out wins in the two Egypt matches.
Kessy and Ross Learn to Win at Home Jen Kessy and April Ross proved that they are the best women's team on the AVP Tour so far in 2010. After beating Misty May-Treanor and Nicole Branagh last weekend in the Virginia Beach final, Kessy and Ross officially surpassed them in points to become the No. 1 ranked team. This week in Belmar, they put an exclamation point on it by winning their third-straight AVP event.
Nick and Fuerby Break Through The AVP's fourth event in Virginia Beach last weekend put some new names in the record books when Nick Lucena and Matt Fuerbringer won their first tournament together since they joined forces earlier this year. Nick and Fuerby beat John Hyden and Sean Scott in two sets, 21-17 and 21-19.
World League = World Cup? As World League competition continues for the third week alongside soccer's World Cup, I'm struck by the similarities between our two sports but yet the difference in enthusiasm and coverage. American Men Keep Hope Alive After dropping their first two World League matches to Russia, the USA men rebounded with two four set wins over Finland. The wins bring their record to 2-2. They now sit in second place in their pool and tied with Germany for eighth overall.

The award is a tremendous honor that goes to the NCAA's best overall female athlete. Megan is only the fifth volleyball player to win the award in the 35-year history. She shares the award with Maya Moore of the UConn basketball team.
