Gabbert remembered at Morton, Calumet Former Calumet volleyball coach Sue Gabbert touched a lot of lives in the region. So her death was a tough blow to the community. Gabbert died Aug. 28 at the age of 43 after a long battle with cancer. How "Over" Is The AVP?

It's official. As of now, the AVP is done. After two weeks of limbo and waiting for word, the AVP let the staff, players and fans know on Friday the 13th of all days that the decision was made. The rest of the 2010 season is canceled. No scheduled AVP events in San Francisco, Chicago, Cincinnati, Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach in the coming weeks. It's over.

The Last of the 2010 Beach Season

The AVP may have collapsed and the summer may be coming to an end, but you still have a few chances to catch some beach volleyball.

On Saturday 8/28, the winners of the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup will take on the Olympians in Milwaukee. The men's winner will take on Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser while the winning women's team will play Kerri Walsh and Rachel Wacholder.
