Volleyball Prepares For Weekend Tournament At Nearby Rutgers
The Princeton women's volleyball team didn't win a single match in three pre-league tournaments last season. Through one weekend, the 2010 Tigers have already won three. Princeton (3-1) will take the short trip up Rt. 1 this weekend to compete in the Rutgers Tournament.

Volleyball: Wildcats start season with 3-1 win
The Oak Harbor High School girls volleyball team jumped to a good start with a 3-1 win at Mariner in the first match of 2010.

Volleyball drops two at Spiketacular Classic
The Western Illinois volleyball team closed out the Troy University Spiketacular Sunday, splitting a pair of matches at Sartain Hall. The Leathernecks (2-4) dropped a 3-1 (17-25, 15-25, 25-18, 17-25) decision to Evansville in the morning before capturing a 3-2 (25-17, 18-25, 24-26, 25-23, 15-9) victory over McNeese State just hours later.

Volleyball roundup: Washington beats Watertown
Washington's volleyball team defeated Watertown 3-0 but it wasn't easy as the Warriors won a marathon third game 34-32 on Tuesday in Watertown. The Warriors won the first two games 25-15 and 25-22. Ashlyn Hazard had 10 kills and Payton Zwart nine for Washington. Hazard also had five blocks and 16 digs, while Zwart had 18 digs. Lacey Lewis had 32 assists. For Watertown, Tia Hemiller had 11 kills ...

Volleyball: Jefferson sweeps up key area matches
COMMERCE -- Jefferson volleyball defeated East Jackson and East Hall on Tuesday in a tri-match in Commerce. In the first match Jefferson defeated East Hall 25-11, 25-5. For the match Amanda Daniel had 2 Aces, 1 kill, and 9 assists.

Volleyball: Douglas holds off upstart Reed
The Douglas High volleyball team overcame a rash of errors, including 16 service errors, to hold off a feisty Reed squad 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 29-27 during the Tigers' home-opener Tuesday night.

VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: Plainview wins title
If the Plainview High School volleyball team has developed a feeling of contentment during its fast start to the 2010 season, it’s not showing. The Class 3A, No. 4 Lady Bears picked up their second tournament championship of the year Saturday, going 6-0 in a competition at Geraldine.

Volleyball serves up three straight wins
The KU women’s volleyball team started off its 2010 season on Friday with the usual pre-season KU classic tournament at KU by beating LeMoyne College 3-0, the College of St. Rose 3-2 and C.W. Post 3-2.

One question that came up in the midst of all the talk of boycotts and conspiracy theories surrounding the Manhattan Beach tournament was whether or not it was fair for this year's winners to get their names on the pier. The USA women are starting to find their stride at the World Grand Prix. Since Logan Tom rejoined the squad last week, the team has won its last six matches and catapulted from fifth place to second in the standings behind Brazil.
